They knew why she was here, before she came The recorder, noted the smell of blood Others arriving, the soon to be flood Then in a flurry the guard attacked Valiantly, the Dame fought back Some joined in, while others watched the scene Dividing them as the un-named one stood serene By the end of it all, they numbered one and twenty Knowing the odds, they felt there was plenty So they took off amid the flurry and buzz The un-named one leader, just because To the border they flew, like a hot arrow Until they circled the first of the Red Wing Barrows The pause was so strong, the silence wary Strike them down now, or be lost if they tarried I will be posting the book version as well. |
